In a devastating incident yesterday, a car crash involving a Ford Commodore resulted in the loss of a life and left another individual severely injured. The accident occurred on Old Northern Road in Middle Dural around 5pm. The vehicle, reportedly driven by a father-son duo, veered off the road and collided with a nearby tree.
Emergency services rushed to the scene to find the vehicle severely damaged. The father, identified as Glen Gibbs, succumbed to his injuries later that day. The son, was found conscious but in critical condition. He was immediately transported to hospital where he remains under intensive care.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident, including factors such as speed and road conditions. The tragic outcome has left the community in shock and mourning. Friends and family have expressed their condolences and support for the family during this difficult time.
