Tione Jayden Merritt (born April 30, 2001), professionally known as Lil Tjay, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Today at 4:28 PM the rapper was fatally shot in a shootout against the NYPD. Police officers had went to go check out Lil Tjay after an anonymous tip about him possessing firearms and drugs. The police officers had said that Tjay had been very aggressive during the altercation which had led to the shooting. He was taken to The Brooklyn Hospital Center at Church Avenue where he was pronounced dead at 6:33 PM.
