Shivendra Vikram Singh has been arrested for killing her wife and Devraj in Khera, Shahjahanpur.
Shahjahanpur police on Thursday arrested him, and cousin of a woman who was shot dead along with her paramour in Khera on Wednesday afternoon.
Confirming the arrests, Khera SP said Shivendra Vikram Singh of the honour killing victim Purnima Singh, have been arrested in the case.
The investigation has revealed that Purnima Singh 32, was married but was living with her paternal uncle for quite some time.
She belonged to Lakhimpur and was having a relationship with a youth Devraj who belonged to the neighbouring city.
Purnima and Devraj were killed because Shivendra Vikram Singh was not happy with her relationship. He was allegedly forcing her to return to her in-laws home to live with him in Lucknow.
Sources said that the accused Shivendra Vikram Singh hatched the conspiracy to kill the couple on the pretext of getting them married.
Purnima, who was in another vehicle, was also shot dead from point-blank range by Shivendra sources said.
