On April 1, 2021, a Westview High School student in San Diego was arrested for hate speech against a student of Indian descent. The student who does not want to be identified says he felt unsafe, but is glad after Ryan Vaziri, 16, was arrested at around 11:45 am. Another student of Korean descent has also expressed gratitude while another of Chinese descent has also wished he rot in prison. Vaziri has a long history of hate speech toward ethnic groups. Vaziri is of Iranian descent. As police raided his house, they found many hate flags and put him on the racist list, where people can track them down so people can walk the neighborhood safely.
