JUST RELEASED: Updated List of Medical Accomodations

Students are to return to NYC Department of Education school on October 1st. With the constant change of agenda throughout the last few weeks, another curveball has been thrown. The CDC has updated the list of underlying medical conditions that can excuse some educators from returning to the classroom. The updated list does not have any additional medical accommodations, instead removes them. The following medical conditions are deemed ‘no longer at risk’. People who suffer from Vertigo, Asthma (stage 2), Obesity (High BMI) and/or have high blood glucose levels are no longer at risk for catching COVID-19. This addition and sudden turn in research, can lead to massive outcry and panic within the school system due to newly hired staff and the ratio of remote students to teachers. There is currently no plan to delay the opening of schools on September 29.
