A Brooklyn jury convicted a 14-year-old-kid Friday of knifing a Greenwich Village chef to death during a botched burglary in 2020 and trying to burn down the victim’s apartment to cover his tracks.
Jahkeem-wright-of Cypress Hills, was found guilty of second-degree murder, second-degree arson and first-degree burglary for killing 61-year-old Romulo Heras, who was a chef at the now-shuttered Cornelia Street Cafe, on sep-26,2020 in Heras’ apartment in Cypress Hills.
wright could face 25 years to life in prison on the murder charge when he is sentenced next month.
