Brownsville and East New York Will Have Its Own Ambulance Service

Brownsville and East New York will finally have its own ambulance servicd. Starting July 1 the East Brooklyn Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps will start operating its 7 ambulances in the community. ” It has been a ling wait but im glad that we will be able to serve the communities with prompt emergency care” says Corps Founder and President James Pointer.

The Corp was founded in 2015 and its main objective was to provide fast and efficient emergency ambulance care to the Brownville and East New York communities. The response times for a ambulance in the East New York and Brownsville communities was well over 10 minutes and resources were not being diverted to the communities to pick up slack for the other units.

EBCVAC will operate 7 ambulance across the Brownsville and East New York area to assist the City EMS with the backlogged emergencies
