31 year old Jasmine Williams was announced to host the reboot of MTV’s Total Request Live. Williams, who works as a NYC EMT, was chosen out of thousands who auditioned. A spokesman for MTV stated that “she is a great personality and we’re thrilled with our selection.” Total Request Live was MTV’s longest running show in the 1990’s, then hosted by Carson Daly, next to The Real World”. Williams, who is a Yonkers native and Bronx resident, is said to continue her career as a NYC 911 EMT despite landing role. Attempts to reach Williams were unsuccessful but MTV’s spokesman states that “Ms. Williams will answer all questions next week when we make the official announcement. At this time Ms. Williams expresses gratitude and is excited to start”.
