City left shocked over the recent violence in the community. Police report that a young lady was approached by unknown males. As the young lady became louder, a gentleman leaving a pizza parlor know to police as Joseph Simonds attempted to help the young lady. A fight broke out, where Simonds was stabbed several times. At this time Simonds is listed as a blood member, one source says that it may be gang related attack as colors were visible to other witnesses. Simonds remains in critical condition at this time. The opp are looking for any witnesses and further information, at this time there is no identification of suspect. Awaiting camera footage.
